The Smart ForTwo is available in either a Coupe or Cabriolet version. The ForTwo was originally called the ‘City Coupe’ and the ‘City Cabrio’ but is now called the ForTwo and ForTwo Cabrio. There are three main model variants for the ForTwo. The base model is the ‘Pure’, the mid-range model is the Pulse Coupe and the luxury model is the Passion Cabriolet.

The ForTwo Limted 1 edition only consisted of 7500 cars in total. These were all left hand drive and were released when the first Smart was launched back in 1998. It has Black Tridion cell and While body panels with alloy wheels and a Blue and Beige leather interior trim. The limted edition 7500 cars were all supplied with a certificate showing which number had been assigned to the car on production.

The Smart ForTwo CDI is the smallest production car in the world to have a diesel engine which makes use of the common-rail direct injection. The diesel engine only produced 88g.km of CO2 emissions so it is also the car with the lowest emissions in the world.

The Smart Crossblade was a limited edition that was available in 2002. It is a variant of the city Cabrio version and is basically a roadster without a windscreen or roof. Singer Robbie Williams purchased number 8 of the Crossblade limited edition model and he was used to promote the new ForFour.

The Smart I-Move special edition consisted of 70 ForTwo Cabrios. The I-Move special edition is based on the Passion Cabrio specification which has Brabus Monobloc V1 alloy wheels as standard. The I-Move has leather interior, was white in colour and has an iPod cradle which was used to hold the special edition 20GB 3G Ipod.
